About Us
The Genesis
Ève & Lilith wishes to pay tribute to the rebellious, the rebels and the verve of those who have so often been thrown into the margins.
Through our music, we celebrate our differences and our authenticity.
With influences ranging from jazz to blues, rock, funk and disco, Eve & Lilith has versatility of styles at heart while covering themes inspired by classical poetry,
philosophy, social issues, esotericism as well as the difficulties, and the beauty, of human life.
The Band
Gaël Cauchy (Singer, songwriter)
(she / iel)
Up on stage as well as when she writes, Gaël takes all the artistic space they can. Kind of "extra" on the edges, they explore theatricality and aim to always push their performance further.
She has been singing nonstop and relentlessly for more than 10 years now, and considers that music gives them the framework which allows her to understand and accept the world around them.
Jennyfer Saucier (guitarist, composer )
(she/her) Agender
Jennyfer Saucier-Leblond has a college diploma in Jazz guitar. Disappointed and disillusioned by her program, she formed Eve and Lilith with Gaël Cauchy while pursuing her studies in in philosophy at UQAM. As passionate about jazz as she is by the history of thought, she tries to combine the two, which lead to her writing Stoician song, a piece inspired by the doctrine of Stoicism, with the help of Gaël Cauchy. It is with curiosity and passion that Jennyfer approaches life and finds all her pleasure in exploring it.
